Karnataka, particularly its capital city Bangalore, is facing escalating climate challenges due to rapid urbanization, deforestation, and shifting weather patterns. This paper explores the multifaceted climate crisis affecting the region, analyzing the root causes and specific urban vulnerabilities that have emerged as a result of population growth and industrial expansion. The impacts of rising temperatures, increased frequency of extreme weather events, and water scarcity are examined, along with the social and economic repercussions for local communities. The study also highlights sustainable urban planning strategies and climate adaptation initiatives that can mitigate these impacts and enhance resilience. By drawing on case studies and policy analysis, this research provides a framework for addressing the climate crisis in Bangalore and outlines potential pathways toward sustainable development in Karnataka.
