Abstract
Decision making is very important for effective Governance process in the state. The formulation of public policy and its implementation depends on the decisions taken. Decision taking requires knowledge, expertise and experience on the part of decision making authorities in the state. Decision making is influenced by various factors and it faces various challenges. In this background this paper is an attempt to understand the factors that influences the decision making process as well as the challenges which decision making encounters.
