The Chimalpahad Complex, located within the Khammam Schist Belt, is essential for understanding the geological framework, metamorphic processes, mineral deposits, and the tectonic setting of ancient continental margins. This paper presents the petrological studies of gabbroic anorthosite rocks from the Vinobhanagar area, specifically focusing on leuco gabbro (including gabbroic anorthosite and anorthositic gabbro), as well as massive and layered anorthosites.The primary minerals identified in the samples include plagioclase feldspar, garnet, anorthite, and calcite. Field samples were collected from fresh outcrops and well cuttings. Megascopic analysis reveals a color range from light to dark and a grain size that varies from coarse to massive. The essential minerals consist mainly of plagioclase feldspar while accessory minerals include garnet, clinopyroxene, and olivine. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the mineralogical characteristics and geological significance of the Chimalpahad Complex.
