Impacts of Video Lectures in Higher Education

Abstract

Abstract: Video lecture is a recorded presentation or instructional session delivered by an educator, typically focused on a specific topic or subject matter. It combines visual and auditory elements, allowing students to watch and listen to the lecture at their convenience. Video lectures can include slides, animations, demonstrations, and sometimes interactive components, making them a versatile tool for teaching and learning. Incorporating engaging visuals and interactive elements, such as quizzes or discussion prompts, can further stimulate interest and active participation. The integrating videos with supplementary resources and feedback mechanisms allows for a richer, more cohesive learning experience, ultimately leading to better student outcomes in Higher Education. The video lessons are using visuals, animations, and real-world examples, making complex subjects more engaging and easier to understand. They can also incorporate diverse perspectives, such as interviews with experts or case studies, enriching the learning experience. The video lectures are reshaping higher education by providing flexible, engaging, and accessible learning experiences that can enhance student outcomes and broaden educational opportunities.
