India is a diverse society, where people of different religious communities coexist. The reservation policy was formulated to save the weaker and poorer sections of the community and to give them equal status with other high-status communities. This work looks at some of the key chronological, constitutional and legislative moments in the development of the conservation system in India. The purpose of this article is to identify the problems in India's reservation policy and to suggest some possible alternatives. He focused on Articles 15 (4), 16 (4) and 46 of the Constitution of India as well as Articles 341, 342, and 342 of the Constitution of India. The author is relying on books, articles, newspapers and online databases for the analytical and descriptive approach of this paper. India's reservation system aims to promote social justice and upward mobility by strengthening human rights. This study analyzes discrimination and inequality in Indian society, focusing on the reservation system and its social dynamics.
