ABSTRACT Panchakarma, a holistic detoxification and rejuvenation therapy rooted in Ayurveda, is gaining global recognition for its comprehensive health benefits. Although its efficacy in treating various ailments, including digestive disorders, arthritis, and chronic diseases, is well documented, significant opportunities for further research remain unexplored. Emerging areas of research interest include its effects on autoimmune diseases, metabolic syndromes, and mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression. Clinical trials evaluating the therapeutic potential of Panchakarma for modern lifestyle diseases, including diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disorders, and obesity, are crucial for establishing its role in contemporary healthcare. Integrating Panchakarma with evidence-based practices and molecular & genetic studies of detoxification mechanisms presents a promising frontier. The research focused on personalized Panchakarma protocols tailored to individual constitutions (Prakriti) and their long-term outcomes, which could revolutionize Ayurvedic practices. A multidisciplinary approach that combines traditional knowledge with modern scientific methodologies can significantly enhance the understanding and application of Panchakarma in global healthcare systems.
