Title

The Role of Financial Mismanagement in Early Startup Failures

Abstract

The failure of startups within the first two years is often linked to financial mismanagement, a critical factor that can severely undermine a new venture's potential for success. This paper examines how poor financial planning, misallocation of funds, and insufficient cash flow management contribute to early-stage startup failures. By analyzing case studies and real-world examples, the research identifies common financial missteps that young businesses encounter and explores strategies to mitigate these challenges. Recommendations for improved budgeting, financial forecasting, and prudent cash flow management are provided to guide entrepreneurs toward sustainable financial practices. This study aims to provide actionable insights for early-stage startups to avoid the common financial pitfalls that lead to failure.
