Water clogging during the rainy season is a recurring problem in urban areas across India, with Bangalore being one of the most affected cities. This research paper aims to conduct a comparative analysis of urban planning strategies in Bangalore and other Indian cities to understand the effectiveness of current drainage systems and flood management approaches. By examining cities such as Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad, the study highlights best practices, common challenges, and lessons learned from each city’s efforts in mitigating waterlogging. The paper also explores the role of infrastructure, policy frameworks, and community engagement in addressing the issue, offering recommendations for improving Bangalore's resilience to seasonal flooding. Insights from successful strategies in other cities could guide the development of more effective and sustainable solutions for Bangalore’s drainage challenges.
