This study investigates the prevalence and patterns of drug abuse among college students in Bangalore, a rapidly urbanizing city in India. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research examines the types of drugs most commonly abused, including alcohol, cannabis, and prescription medications, while also assessing the demographics of affected students, such as age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Additionally, the study explores the social factors contributing to drug use, including peer influence, academic pressure, and accessibility to drugs. Findings indicate a significant prevalence of drug abuse among college students, with implications for public health policies and educational interventions aimed at reducing substance misuse in this vulnerable population.
