Title

A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON HIGHER SECONDARY STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT IN CHEMISTRY AND SELF-EFFICACY

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate higher secondary students’ achievement in chemistry and self-efficacy. The participants were 680 higher secondary students in Cuddalore District, Tamilnadu, India. The Academic achievement in chemistry Test (AACT) and Self-Efficacy are constructed and validated by the investigator (2023). The survey method had been followed and simple random sampling technique was used in administration of the research tools. Findings revealed that the average level of Achievement in Chemistry and Self-Efficacy of Higher Secondary Students, there is significant difference in the gender and locality of the school of Higher Secondary Students with respect to their Achievement In Chemistry and Parenting Style, there is significant and positive relationship between Achievement in Chemistry and Self-Efficacy of Higher Secondary Students.
