Title

The Thermodynamic Solubility Characteristics of Sodium-Indium and Lithium-Indium

Abstract

The solubility of indium in liquid sodium was assessed within the temperature range of 100 to 253.5 degrees Celsius. Utilizing the obtained solubility data, calculations were performed to determine the heat, entropy, and free energy of the solution. Additionally, a newly isolated intermetallic compound, , which crystallized from a sodium-rich solution and was also produced through the reaction of NaLn with an excess of sodium, is presented. The phase diagrams for the sodium-indium and lithium-indium systems were established through solubility investigations and thermal analysis.
