This paper presents a systematic review of the research literature in the field of agritourism. Employing a structured literature review methodology, the study identifies both established and emerging research clusters for epistemological analysis. This analysis facilitates the identification of key research topics, interrelations, and collaboration patterns within the field of agritourism, as well as in other research areas with similar concepts. The graphical mapping of the agritourism research landscape is conducted using visualization of similarities (VOS). VOS software analysed bibliographic data from 812 research publications sourced from the Web of Science, Elsevier, Springer, Emerald, Frontier, MDPI and Scopus databases, covering the period from 1998 to 2024. The resulting graphical mapping illustrates the contributions of authors and countries, their collaboration dynamics, and publication patterns over time. This paper provides insights into the most frequently studied research themes and identifies common areas of current research interest, as well as potential directions for future research.
