INTRODUCTION: Tundikeri is one of the disease entities mentioned under Mukharoga. According to ancient Ayurvedic texts, Tundikeri is described as a swelling at the base of the temporal-mandibular joint that resembles a cotton fruit (Vanakarpasa phala)1. The symptoms and signs of Tundikeri can be compared to those of tonsillitis. Peetha saireyaka is a folklore medicine which is proven in the management of tundikeri is taken as the standard drug4. Pippali Choorna is a classical preparation mentioned in Sharangadara Samhitha for the management of kantha rogas5, which is converted into a new but proven form of medication that is Lozenges, considering palatability, efficacy, safety and minimized dosage form which can be easily accepted by children. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The diagnosed case of Tundikeri will be selected irrespective of gender, caste, religion from Kaumarbritya OPD &IPD of AAMC and other referrals. Treatment duration was for 7 days. The drug Pippali Lozenges and Peetha saireyaka Lozenges was administered for a period of 7 days Orally and the patients were assessed on, before the treatment, 2nd day, 5th day, 8th day and 21st day Follow up period: 14 days. Toal study duration was for 21 days. RESULTS: The result obtained after clinical trials were analyzed statistically and it shows that there is a statistically significant result in tonsillar erythema, sore throat, and galoparodha where group A having better result. In all other parameters there is no statically significant result. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSTION: In the study, the result of the study shows that Pippali lozenges having better result in tonsillar erythema, sore throat, lymph node enlargement and voice change where p <0.005 in all other symptoms both the groups having equal action by not showing statistically significant result.by that it shows that both Pippali lozenges and Peetha saireyaka lozenges having equal action on Tundiker.
