Marma Chikitsa, an ancient Ayurvedic practice, focuses on the stimulation of specific vital points (marma points) on the body to promote holistic healing. Marma Chikitsa plays a significant role in mental health by addressing the mind-body connection and promoting emotional balance. Conventional treatment often has its focus on the management of symptoms thereby neglecting the intricate interplay between physical, emotional and spiritual aspects. Marma an ancient Ayurvedic concept offers a holistic approach in addressing the mental health. Marma refers to the at the junction of Mansa, Sira, Snayu, Asthi and Sandhi. Marma refers to the vital points in the body influencing physical, mental and spiritual well-behealth. There are 107 marma points on the body mentioned in Ayurvedic classical texts. A Marma point is a place on the where two or more types of tissues meet such as mams, sira, Snayu Asthi, sandhi and 'Prana' resides by nature on these places .
