Title

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF RAILWAY TRACK FAULT DETECTOR

Abstract

Railroads are utilized for public transportation and to transfer most commodities between regions because of their affordability, dependability, speed, and low accident rates. The movement of trains always depends on railway tracks (rails) only. Many individuals choose trains over roads for long-distance travel as they are more comfortable and cost-effective. Thus, it is imperative to ensure the safety of railroad lines for these reasons. A significant issue arises if there is a crack in these rails. Additionally, solving this issue takes longer. The primary problem with the existing strategy has been the lack of affordable, practical technologies for railroad fracture identification. If these flaws are not fixed as soon as possible, they could cause several derailments that cause a significant loss of life and property. Considering these drawbacks, we have developed a mechanically designed crack detector bot to identify cracks in the rails and sound an alarm to prevent this issue. This paper involves the design of a bot for crack detection on railway tracks.
