Title

Cosmological model in f(Q) theory of gravity with special form of Hubble parameter

Abstract

This paper investigates the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) cosmological model within the f(Q) theory of gravity, a modified gravity framework where gravitational effects are attributed to non-metricity Q rather than curvature or torsion. We consider a specific time-dependent form of the Hubble parameter to explore the implications of f(Q) gravity on the universe’s expansion dynamics. By adopting this special Hubble parameter form, we analyze key cosmological parameters, including the deceleration parameter and the effective equation of state, to assess the model’s ability to describe the observed transition from decelerated to accelerated expansion. Our findings suggest that the f(Q) framework, with an appropriately chosen Hubble parameter, can effectively replicate late-time cosmic acceleration without invoking dark energy, offering an alternative approach to the ΛCDM model. This study contributes to the understanding of f(Q) gravity’s potential for explaining cosmic acceleration, providing insights into the evolution of the universe in a non-metricity-based gravity theory.
