Title

Effectiveness of Open Educational Resources on SWAYAM for LIS Professionals

Abstract

In this paper, we will address how open educational resources (OER) in SWAYAM can improve both access and quality in higher education, and raise questions about OER is long-term financial viability among students, researchers, and universities. The impact of the Open Educational System which includes technical and vocational education and training, lifelong learning, and post-secondary education, is the subject. Online learning environments are available for free on the SWAYAM website. In the education learning system, online platforms play major roles in developing skills and requirements. SWAYAM, a collaboration with educational institutions, makes thousands of Massive Open Online Courses, created by the best teachers from top institutions, available to the public. This initiative transforms the traditional notion of learning confined to the four walls of a classroom through advancement in Information and Communication Technology. This paper examines the LIS student's Open Educational Resources in SWAYAM, various initiatives, evaluation criteria, and the pros and cons based on the LIS professionals using Open Educational Resources in SWAYAM.
