Title

Landmine Detection and Military Personnel Protective Shoe

Abstract

Landmine detection remains a critical challenge in demining efforts worldwide, often requiring extensive manual labor and posing significant risks to human safety. Traditional detection methods such as metal detectors and ground-penetrating radar are either time-consuming or hazardous. This paper presents the design of a novel landmine-detecting shoe that utilizes metal proximity sensors and servomotors to enhance safety and efficiency in detecting landmines. The shoe is equipped with four servomotors that rotate by 180 degrees upon detection of metallic objects (e.g., landmines) by an integrated metal proximity sensor. Additionally, a buzzer is activated to alert the user upon detection. The combination of real-time sensory data, mechanical action, and auditory feedback provides an innovative solution for landmine detection, potentially improving the speed and safety of demining operations.
