Abstract: This is a study to examine perceptions and strategies related to gender equality at textile outlets in Calicut district. Understanding the gender equality in the sector is essential to promote equally important workplaces, as the textile industry plays an important role in the regional economy. Gender equality is an issue that has been discussed centuries ago. While high progress has been made in many areas, gender inequality is still a major problem seen in many areas. The fact is that while the government and society have been continuously bringing in a variety of policies and laws, gender equality has not yet been brought to its fullest. This research examines how men and women view gender equality in areas such as hiring, wages, promotion, economic progress, and the balance between work and private life. The results of this study provide new perspectives on the experiences of gender segmentation in workplaces in the textile sector and provide suggestions on the steps to be taken to ensure suitable employment for all, regardless of gender.
