Title

Algorithm Understanding Through Dynamic Visualization

Abstract

The purpose of the presented work is an interactive algorithm visualization tool aimed at assisting users in gaining a high level of insight into a chosen algorithm on the basis of visualization routines. Created with React this tool represents basic sorting algorithms like Bubble Sort, Quick Sort, Insertion Sort, Merge Sort, Selection Sort, as well as pathfinding algorithms like Dijkstra’s algorithm for path finding. It also briefly mentions artificial intelligence (AI) while providing visual references to Perceptron, Approaches to Connect 4, Neural Network-based Snake. In addition, a chatbot solution is embedded to enhance the general functionality and increase customer satisfaction as well as provide assistance within the application. The tool also includes the live interaction; users can walk through each algorithm, see how the data are processed, and understand the functioning of each method. With the ability to input different size of data set and exaggerate or minimize the speed of how data is presented, the users are able to perform an analysis of how different algorithms perform in relation to the others under different circumstances. The usability is simple for an everyday user; the graphics used in the creation of the interface will help the basic user and also our enhanced user to get more real life concepts. Moreover, in addition to giving users greater insight into basic machine learning models with related visualizations, users also have a better understanding of how AI algorithms can solve problems in game examples.
