Title

ENHANCING ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT THROUGH WORKLIFE BALANCE- USING HENRY GARRETT RANKING METHOD

Abstract

The present study highlights how employees can balance their work and life when they have adequate resources, such as time, managerial support, and family-friendly policies. If they balance work with the support of the organization then they develop a stronger emotional commitment to their organization. So, to understand the above-mentioned concept, objectives are formulated to identify various factors of Work-life balance and, to analysing how employees prioritize various factors for work-life balance using Henry Garrett Ranking Method. This technique is used to assess the ranking of various factors that are influencing the Work-life balance such as shift duties, targets, work from home, leaves, vacation, recreation and meeting personal problems are incorporated into the collection of opinions of the respondents. The study is conducted for a sample of 410. The study also reveals that the organizations go for work life balance to allow employees to adjust their schedules in managing their personal and professional lives better and by providing opportunities like work from home so that they can save commuting time and offer more personal time.
