Transactional Analysis (TA) is a theory of personality and a method for analyzing communication developed by Eric Berne in the 1950s. By analyzing ego states, it helps individuals understand their patterns of behavior and communication, and it offers a structured approach to improve interactions. It is a method of therapy that explores human personality and social interactions. In daily communication, TA can be used to understand and improve communication patterns by analyzing the "transactions" (or exchanges) between individuals. This paper provides an in-depth exploration of how TA applies to daily communication, delving into its theoretical underpinnings, real-world applications, and the psychological dynamics that influence interpersonal exchanges. The analysis demonstrates how individuals can use TA to enhance communication, reduce conflicts, and foster more productive relationships.
