Title

Exploring the Molecular Mechanisms of Curcumin-Induced Apoptosis in Cancer Cells: A Comprehensive Review

Abstract

Curcumin, a bioactive polyphenol derived from Curcuma longa, has garnered significant attention for its potent anticancer properties. This review delves into the molecular mechanisms by which curcumin induces apoptosis in various cancer cell lines. Key pathways such as mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis, death receptor-mediated signaling, and modulation of transcription factors like NF-κB and p53 are explored. Additionally, the role of curcumin in overcoming chemoresistance and its synergistic effects with conventional therapies are discussed. This article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how curcumin can be harnessed as a promising anticancer agent.
