Title

Utilizing Data-Driven Mathematical Models of Infectious Diseases to Impact Public Health Policy New Problems and Recent Developments

Abstract

With the help of current data and computing power, as well as theoretical and algorithmic developments to take use of these, disease dynamic models can be parameterized with ever-increasing precision. Although this increases the forecast and policy use of models, significant obstacles still exist. In instance, a model's utility may be constrained by its parameters' inability to be identified. Although it is possible to overcome lack of parameter identify ability by incorporating previous knowledge into an inference technique, this is frequently not easy to do. Further more, gathering data that is both sufficient in quantity and quality presents practical obstacles. We go over current developments on these problems here.
