Addressing these issues requires innovative solutions and a thorough understanding of traditional practices. Historically, local communities have relied on indigenous knowledge to sustainably manage their resources. In recent years, technological advancements and policy interventions have introduced modern frameworks to tackle these problems. This article reviews both traditional and modern approaches to water resource management and biodiversity conservation in India, emphasizing the importance of integrating these methods and highlighting key contributions from scholars.
