The poems in this set are among Tennyson's earliest mythological poetry, written around the same period but published in two distinct collections of poems. Poems Chiefly Lyrical (1850) and Poems Chiefly Lyrical (1851). These poems include "The Sea-Fairies," "The Heeperides," and "The Lotos Eaters," and they were written during Tennyson's Cambridge days, which lasted from November 1827 to March 1831, but many critics believe it should have lasted until Hallam's death. It is therefore remarkable that no extensive examination of the poetry under consideration has yet been attempted. Minor works include "The Sea-Fairies" and "The Lotos-Eaters" have not been discussed, despite the fact that "Semele" shares the allegoric and symbolic qualities of his mythological poems about personages. The lack of research on these poems as a unified collection prompted this analysis. Tennyson's image as a poet of myths has remained a shadow against the background of the flowing tributes paid to "In Memoriam" and his other lyrionl compositions. This research attempts to illuminate the poet's clouded mythological vision in order to find his deep knowledge into the essence of myths and his skilled management of them.
