This study evaluates the antioxidant potential of Arq Murakkab Musaffi Khoon (AMMK), a Unani formulation used for skin disorders. Skin is often the first to show signs of internal damage, and disruptions in the digestive and excretory systems are linked to various skin conditions. AMMK was subjected to in-vitro assays, revealing the presence of phenolics and flavonoids, known for their antioxidant properties. The DPPH radical scavenging assay demonstrated significant free radical inhibition with an IC50 comparable to Vitamin C. Additionally, AMMK showed total phenolic and flavonoid contents of 22.91 µg/ml and 39.37 µg/ml, respectively, and its reducing power was on par with gallic acid. The study concludes that AMMK has moderate antioxidant activity, suggesting its potential as a natural remedy for digestive, excretory, and skin-related disorders.
