Title

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (HRMIS): SERVICE RECORD AND MSU-SULU INDEX OF PAYMENT TO EMPLOYEES

Abstract

The Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) is a web-based application system designed to improve efficiency and reduce redundancy in human resources operations for MSU-Sulu, addressing existing problems in managing employee data, payroll processes, and service records. The main goal of this study is to design and implement a system that will enhance operational efficiency, improve data accuracy, and allow secure management of HR-related tasks. It was designed to reduce manual administrative tasks, enable timely payroll computation, and provide easy retrieval of employee service histories for compliance and reporting. So, we decided to use a hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodology for the project to balance detailed planning and iterative development. Using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and XAMPP, the HRMIS was able to provide a robust and scalable solution. Desired features include a centralized database for employee records, automated payroll processing, role-based access control shells for protection, and user-friendly interfaces for human resources personnel. Usability and decision-making abilities improve with enhanced features, including reporting tools and data export choices. This study sought to provide a practical solution tailored to meet the functioning demands of the HRMO of MSU-Sulu. The introduction of innovations through technology into HR operations enabled the HRMIS to minimize administrative errors, optimize workflows, and streamline compliance with institutional policies. The system was tested with stakeholders such as Hja Melodina B. Jailani, MPA, HRMO II validated to be effective and relevant in solving the problems in the office. Finally, the paper wraps up with recommendations regarding incorporating mobile compatibility, self-service features, and advanced analytics to improve the ability of the system's well and its long-lasting influence on the broad area of human resource management.
