An Al-powered desktop system is under development to automate toll payments through machine learning. Its functions include image capture for vehicles, image preprocessing for analysis, vehicle identification, license plate reading, and license number extraction. And it is a web-based platform harnesses machine learning capabilities to manage automatic payments. Users can register their vehicles, access transaction histories, request refunds for erroneous transactions, and track refund statuses. Toll booth operators can utilize machine learning models to generate bills for vehicles. In recent years, toll gate processing systems have evolved from manual operations to automated systems, improving traffic flow and reducing human errors. This paper reviews the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in automated toll gate processing systems. It explores various Al technologies, including image recognition, machine learning algorithms, and sensor-based systems used to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of toll operations. Key trends, challenges, and future directions in the development of intelligent toli systems are discussed.
