Stock Verification is an essential part of library management that ascertain to check the library resources in the stock. It is an effective method to identify mistakes and prevent fraudulent procedures. The purpose of this article is to investigate the potential and intensive stock verification of more than 60000 documents of Mandya University Library. Study results reveal that 39127 library books are available in the power house of new library building constituent government college of Mandya university library and 23060 books are discarded as loss of books. Notable findings shows that insufficient knowledge of cataloguing and classification rules has hampered the quality of Mandya University Library caused by the inactions of strategies, lack of professional trained library staff and policies. This study also provides a description of the technology used and the architecture of NewGenlib 2.1. Integrated Library Management Software (ILMS). The major problem that Mandya University Library had with vendors was largely due to factors related to cost and support. It is noted that technical support for the integrated library systems was either not available or unreliable. To assist in identifying significant areas of loss, the study also emphasizes how administrative rules for collection evaluation and management policy can be framed by using traditional document verification. This article advocates the earnest need to appoint a permanent or consolidated university librarian, professional trained library staff, university library budget plans, college budget plans, establish digital resources and services, and a college library association to make the right decisions.
