Legal aid can be interpreted as providing impoverished individuals with free legal representation in any court, tribunal, or other authority proceedings. It aims to offer free legal aid to underprivileged individuals who are unable to exercise their legal rights. Legal aid, according to Justice P.N. Bhagwati, is the provision of a social arrangement that makes the legal system's machinery conveniently available and within the grasp of those who must use it to exercise their legally granted rights. He is correct when he says that the poor and illiterate should have access to the legal system and that their lack of knowledge and financial situation shouldn't prevent them from seeking justice. The rule of law is highly valued in the Indian constitution. It is considered to be a component of both natural justice and the fundamental framework of the Indian Constitution. It has been argued that providing free legal aid to the weak and impoverished is an essential supplement to the rule of law. The independence and impartiality of the court are mandated under the Indian Constitution. Courts are therefore responsible for preserving the Constitution and defending the rights of all people, regardless of their financial situation.
