The fabric-free, automatic car is a disruptive technology driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. These cars/vehicles employ a fusion of radar, and neural networks to understand the world around them, drive in real-time, and safely travel without the direct supervision of a human. These vehicles, using object detection, path planning, and even reinforcement learning, can drive on a flexible range of scenes avoid obstacles, and adapt their behavior to traffic flow. Though the technology has great promise for accident reduction, enhanced traffic, and mobility, issues concerning safety, regulation, and public acceptance are still to be addressed. The automatic car systems are expected to revolutionize the transport system, making it safer, more efficient, and more accessible.
