Title

Synthesis and Characterization of Mg AZ91E, Pure Aluminium & Al2O3 Hybrid Composites

Abstract

A Hybrid Composite reinforced with Pure Aluminium and Aluminium Oxide was fabricated using Stir Casting. The addition of Pure Aluminium and Aluminium Oxide enhanced the composite’s hardness, as shown by the Vickers Hardness test. The Tensile Strength varied among samples, but the Percentage Elongation and Young’s Modulus could not be determined due to the composite’s brittleness. Radiography confirmed the material’s structural integrity. A Pin-on-Disk test assessed tribological performance, revealing variations in wear resistance under different conditions. The study identified suitable materials for demanding and high-performance tribological applications based on their wear resistance characteristics.
