Artificial intelligence (AI) has become the cornerstone of innovation in the automotive industry, changing the way vehicles are designed, manufactured and operated.[6] In 2024 and beyond progress in machine learning, computer vision, and natural language understanding will help develop autonomous vehicles, predictive maintenance systems and improve the in-car user experience. AI-powered features which include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), real-time traffic monitoring, personalized infotainment systems not only improve safety and convenience, but also contribute to sustainable development by optimizing fuel consumption and reducing pollution. In this article, we look at the latest AI-based innovations in automotive, discuss their impact on transportation systems, and address emerging issues such as data privacy, ethical considerations and regulatory frameworks. The results highlight the potential of AI to revolutionize mobility while laying the foundation for a connected and autonomous future.
