Herbomineral drugs are commonly used by Ayurveda physicians in modern India and Indian subcontinent. Mrityunjaya rasa, Hinguleshwara rasa, Ananda bhairava rasa, Kaphaketu rasa, Makaradhwaja vati, Poorna Chandrodaya rasa, Jayamangala rasa, Chandraprabha vati, Gokshuradi guggulu, Maha yogaraja guggulu, Laxmivilasa rasa. Mahalaxmi vilasa rasa, Naga guti. Vasantha Kushmakara rasa, Khanjanikari rasa, Yogendra rasa, Ekangavira rasa, Maha vata vidhwamsana rasa, and Swarnamalini vasantha, these are some herbomineral formulation which are in common clinical practice. Tribhuvana Kriti rasa is one such preparation which is given in disorders associated with fever and respiratory disorders. Hingula (Cinnabar) is one ingredient has the actions like Krimighna, anti-infective, bactericidal, antibacterial and Rasayana actions. Trikatu is dipana, Pachana, Agnivardhaka, Amanashaka, Ushnaviryayukta and Kaphavatahara in action. In patients with chronic kidney disease and nephrotic syndrome patients it is strictly contraindicated. In therapeutic doses it shows less adverse drug reactions. The present paper highlights about the therapeutic uses of Tribhuvana Kriti rasa in scientific and experiential view.
