Abstract Language plays a pivotal role in shaping cultural identity by serving as a carrier of traditions, values, and social practices. This article explores how language not only preserves cultural heritage but also fosters social cohesion, enabling individuals to connect with their roots and express their cultural uniqueness. Through qualitative research methods, including literature review, case studies, and interviews, the study reveals the deep connection between language and cultural identity, highlighting both its strengths in preserving traditions and its challenges in the face of globalization and language dominance. The findings show that while language unites communities and strengthens shared cultural experiences, it also faces threats from the spread of global languages, leading to the erosion of minority languages and cultural diversity. Digital platforms have further expanded the reach of language, offering both opportunities for cultural exchange and potential risks to authentic cultural preservation. This research underscores the need to promote multilingualism and protect endangered languages to safeguard cultural identity in an increasingly interconnected world.
