Title

REPLACE SAND AND AGGREGATES BY WOOD POWDER AND GLASS FIBERS

Abstract

Urbanization has increased concrete consumption, driving building material demand. Poor mining techniques deplete resources when global sand consumption surpasses 15 billion tons per year. Glass and wood recycling help reduce landfill damage and these difficulties. This study examines using waste glass (10%, 20%, 30%) and wood powder (5%), partial fine particle replacements in concrete. High glass powder concentrations enhance workability, compressive strength, and water resistance. The optimal 30% glass and 5% wood powder blend had the highest compressive strength, whereas 10% had the lowest. This study highlights waste materials' capacity to preserve resources and improve concrete performance for sustainable development.
