Title

Youth Empowerment: Exploring the Role of Young Women as Climate Change Educators and Advocates

Authors

Abstract

ABSTRACT “If women are empowered, there is more development in society. Women lead with empathy and care, and they would give a new dimension to the developmental journey of the country.” -Draupadi Murmu, President of India In recent years, the debate over climate change has gotten more intense as scientific data indicates that it is having significant and far-reaching effects on our world. As we struggle with the repercussions of a changing climate; activism and education are becoming increasingly important in reducing its effects and building resilience. Under these conditions, youth empowerment becomes a potent force for good, with young women leading the way in climate action. This research paper explores the pivotal role of young women as climate change educators and advocates, focusing on their contributions, and innovative approaches to addressing the global climate crisis. Through a comprehensive analysis of literature, case studies, and examples, the study highlights the intersectional nature of youth activism, gender empowerment, and climate education. Key themes include grassroots activism, digital advocacy strategies, and the integration of climate justice principles into advocacy efforts. The study underscores the importance of empowering young women as change agents and provides recommendations for future action, including strengthening intersectional approaches, investing in leadership development, and fostering international collaboration.
