This research paper provides a comprehensive analysis of cybercrimes in Gujarat, with a particular focus on social media-related offenses. The study examines the types, frequency, and impact of these crimes, alongside the legal framework and enforcement mechanisms in place to combat them. By utilizing a mixed-method approach, including qualitative interviews with law enforcement officials and quantitative analysis of crime data, the research highlights the unique challenges faced in Gujarat. The findings indicate a significant rise in social media-related cyber crimes, driven by factors such as increased internet penetration and lack of digital literacy. The paper also explores the effectiveness of current legislative measures and suggests improvements to better address the evolving nature of cyber threats. This study aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on cybercrimes and offers practical recommendations for policymakers, law enforcement agencies, and the general public.
