Title

Assessment of the Environment through Non-Physical Contact Techniques for Achieving Sustainable Conservation

Abstract

Climatic change and global warming are the main factors giving rise to degradation of the environment. This affects the natural ecosystem of the globe due to the increase in ill activities like deforestation. Consequently, it becomes essential to monitor such activities and eradicate them. The concept and utilization of Remote Sensing techniques comes in very handy for these issues. It provides assessment and monitoring of the environmental landscapes in less-time consumption and better precision. This paper deals with assessing the environmental entities and anomalies by incorporating the multispectral datasets from the satellites. The study area taken up in the research is the Area of Dehradun city, the capital of Uttarakhand. The experimental results represent the change in the environment through the application of change detection techniques. Additionally, the research provides a solid foundation for the researchers to work, sense and assess the impact on the environment due to numerous reasons like deforestation, forest fire and urbanization.
