Kilakarai, grappling with waste management issues and water scarcity, underscores the urgent need for innovative solutions. This paper explores approaches such as pyrolysis for waste-to-energy conversion, solar-thermal forward osmosis for desalination, bioremediation, and advanced sewage treatment. Emphasizing technological innovation alongside community participation, the study highlights the potential of these strategies to mitigate environmental challenges, reduce the ecological footprint, and promote sustainability. Addressing local issues can lead to broader global impacts, demonstrating the importance of localized climate action.
