Title

Bridging Talent and Opportunity with NLP-Based Resume Matching Systems

Abstract

When searching for jobs, candidates typically sign up on multiple job portals to receive notifications about new job opportunities. They then explore listings that align with their qualifications. To enhance this process, we propose a system where job seekers can upload their resumes and receive a similarity score for each job post. This score reflects how closely their resume matches the job's requirements, helping them quickly identify and apply to the most relevant positions. The system analyzes the candidate's skills, projects, and previous work experience and compares them to the job post's attributes, such as responsibilities, descriptions, and requirements, using various NLP models to generate the similarity score. Employers can also view these scores to streamline their candidate selection process. In this way, the system serves as a bridge between employers and candidates, making the hiring process more efficient.
