This study explores the extent of Fusarium wilt in pea crops across three blocks—Dakore, Jalaun, and Konch—in the Jalaun District of Uttar Pradesh. The survey assesses the incidence, severity, and percent disease score (PDS) of Fusarium wilt among various villages within these blocks. Data were collected from 10 villages in Dakore block, 10 villages in Jalaun block, and 10 villages in Konch block, with each village having 50 pea plants studied. The results indicate significant variations in disease prevalence and severity across different blocks and villages, with Jalaun block demonstrating the highest incidence, ranging from 34% to 68%. The study underlines the critical need for targeted management interventions to control Fusarium wilt and reduce crop losses in this region. The results also provide baseline data that could aid local agricultural extension services and policy-makers in their efforts to combat soil-borne pathogens.
