Literature is a document of the people. It is the live presentation of the living reality of its time that makes literature relevant. Any living reality is lifeless without the deep colour of its locality.It is a universally accepted fact that any poem touches the heart of a connoisseur only when the reader or listener likes it only when he sees a glimpse of his nature and surroundings in that creation.In modern Hindi poetry, the focus of the poems of the Nayi Kavita era is its democratic tendency. In the present research paper, the democratic tendency has been analyzed in the major works of the representative poets of Nayi Kavita.
