This study entitled “Comparative study to assess the knowledge level regarding prevention and control of vector-borne diseases among urban and rural health workers”. Aims: The objectives are to assess the level of knowledge regarding prevention and control of vector-borne diseases among the urban and rural health workers and to compare the level of knowledge among urban and rural health workers. Design and setting: Comparative descriptive approach was used in this study. The participants were selected by purposive sampling technique. Results: This study results revealed that, when compared to rural health workers, urban workers were having adequate knowledge about vector borne diseases. Conclusion: Findings of the study indicated that educational approaches are important to enhance the knowledge of health workers regarding vector borne diseases prevention and control measures.
