The formula of the Four Noble Truths including the Noble Eightfold Path containing the Four Truths allows the two principles to interact and incorporate one another. It would be meaningless to ask which of the two facets of the Dhamma—the theory or the path—has greater importance in light of this fundamental unity. But if we took a chance by posing that query, the path would have to be the response. The road asserts its superiority since it is this that actually brings the message to life. The way transforms the Dhamma from a set of abstract principles into an ongoing revelation of reality. It provides a means of escape from the suffering issue that the teaching begins with. Additionally, it makes the teaching's main objective—liberation from suffering—accessible to us in our own lives, where it alone has real significance. Buddhism's fundamental ideas are the Eightfold Path and the Four Noble Truths. The historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, initially introduced them as a way to comprehend and eliminate suffering. These teachings serve as the foundational ideas of Buddhist philosophy and offer a plan for achieving personal change and freedom from pain.
