FROZEN SECTION – A COMPLETE REVIEW
Abstract
Intra-operative frozen section is a vital tool in surgical patient management, but its application must be judicious to prevent overuse. Given its inherent limitations compared to paraffin-embedded tissue sections, this review emphasizes the fundamental concepts and principles of intra-operative frozen section analysis, highlighting its constraints. A clear understanding of these aspects enables more informed and selective decision-making when requesting frozen section evaluations.
