: In India, the relationship between nature and human beings is indicating from prehistoric period. For basic needs man was familiar with nature and plants since ancient times. Chhattisgarh state is famous for herbs so known as Herbal state. Due to uniqueness of tribal population and their relationship with nature, the present study deals with medicinal plants used by hill korwa of Southeastern parts of Surguja district of Chhattisgarh state. Study is based on primary and secondary data. We collected information from Pahadi Korwa tribes by using group discussion, interview with questionnaire during September 2023 to December 2024. Among 90 informants interviewed, 15 were tribal practitioners. We documented 24 medicinal plants with applications during survey. We observed that Pahadi Korwa tribes survive on locally available these medicinal plants to treat their diseases. The main purpose of this study to make the people aware about medicinal uses and effectiveness of plants in curing diseases. We report the medicinal plants with uses especially in Northeastern regions of Surguja district of Chhattisgarh.
