Title

A Study on Confidential Bridging in Payrolls - Decentralized Finance

Abstract

This study investigates privacy-preserving techniques in DeFi, focusing on confidential payroll systems. DeFi revolutionizes finance with trustless, peer-to-peer transactions via smart contracts, but blockchain transparency poses privacy challenges, especially for sensitive systems like payrolls. The research explores four cryptographic technologies—Multi-Party Computation (MPC), Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs), and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) via Zama's fhEVM—to enable secure computations on encrypted data. By leveraging these technologies, the proposed framework ensures confidential, compliant payroll management while addressing blockchain opacity. This approach enhances privacy, enables confidential smart contracts, and advances secure data processing in DeFi, offering significant implications for decentralized financial applications.
