Title

DOUBLE PEROVSKITE NANOPARTICLES (Sr₂FeNiO₆) SYNTHESIS VIA SOL GEL CITRATE METHOD TO EXPLORE ITS ANTIBACTERIAL APPLICATIONS IN WOUND HEALING THERAPY

Abstract

This study aims to synthesize Sr₂FeNiO₆ Double Perovskite Nanoparticles by the cost effective sol-gel citrate method, followed by the calcinations at 6500C to explore their antimicrobial properties against various pathogenic strains for wound healing therapy. The characterization of the synthesized Sr₂FeNiO₆ nanoparticles were conducted with the help of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), to confirm the crystalline size and chemical bonding. UV-visible spectroscopy was used to study the band gap energy and Tauc plot. The optical band gap energy was found to be 1.86eV while morphology and composition were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). To evaluate the antibacterial properties of the synthesized nanoparticles, they were subjected against various bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, K. pneumonia, E. faecalis, via the disk diffusion method.
